I regret every year I didn't ask for help. This card goes to the end of the world and comes back to tell me what everyone else regrets.
Me arrepiento de no haberle preguntado a mi abuela cómo hacía su mole. Ahora cocino adivinando. La tarjeta viaja al sur; yo me quedo con la duda.
I regret never asking my grandmother how she made her mole. Now I cook by guessing. The card travels south; I keep the doubt.
Me arrepiento de no haber bailado en la boda de mi hermana. Estaba enojada por algo que ya ni recuerdo.
I regret not dancing at my sister's wedding. I was angry about something I can't even remember now.
Viví toda mi vida a diez cuadras del mar y nunca aprendí a nadar. Hoy la mandé rumbo a Chile con un camionero, y yo me apunté a clases.
I lived my whole life ten blocks from the sea and never learned to swim. Today I sent it toward Chile with a trucker, and signed myself up for lessons.
